Sortomate for Android

Beta builds come straight from Sortomate rather than from Google Play, so Android asks you to confirm a few things the first time.
- Tap Download for Android. If your browser warns that this type of file can harm your device, choose to keep it.
- Open the downloaded file. If Android says your phone isn’t allowed to install unknown apps from this source, tap Settings, switch on Allow from this source for your browser, then go back.
- Google Play Protect may ask to scan the app, because it hasn’t seen it before. Tap Scan app and wait a few seconds for the result.
- Tap Install. If Play Protect warns about the app instead, tap More details, then Install anyway.
- Tap Open.
The wording and menus differ a little between phone makers. You can also find the setting under Settings › Apps › Special app access › Install unknown apps. You can switch it off again once Sortomate is installed.
Updating
Download the new file and install it the same way. It installs over the old version. Your tasks will carry over to the updated version.
